David Aranda (Davaro) is a Barcelona-based artist whose training in drawing and fine arts began in his hometown.
As a child, he met the Japanese painter Tokio Ujike while the artist was living in northern Spain, capturing its valleys and mountains. It was Ujike who inspired him to embark on his own journey into painting and the arts.
He has exhibited his work in cities including Madrid, Barcelona, Paris, and Dubai, in both public and private exhibitions as well as international art fairs.

ARTISTIC STATEMENT
My work focuses on the human figure as a mirror of introspection and personal transformation. Through the face and body, I explore identity, inner conflicts, and the ways in which the self confronts itself in the contemporary world.
For me, the creative act is an exercise in deep reflection, influenced by Stoic philosophy: discipline, control, and the acceptance of conflict are as essential as technique itself.
My visual language engages with the tradition of the classical human figure — from ancient Greece to the Renaissance — reinterpreted through a contemporary and personal perspective. What sets my work apart is the combination of rigorous technical mastery with a conceptual approach that invites pause, questioning, and inner growth.
